Total Investment
₹6,00,000
Estimated Returns
₹5,61,695
Future Value
₹11,61,695
Estimate based on a constant assumed return rate. Actual mutual fund returns vary.
How it is calculated
FV = P × [((1 + i)^n − 1) / i] × (1 + i)
P is your monthly investment, i is the monthly rate of return (annual rate ÷ 12), and n is the number of monthly instalments. The (1 + i) factor assumes contributions are invested at the start of each month.
Example
Investing ₹5,000 every month for 10 years at an assumed 12% annual return gives a total investment of ₹6,00,000 and an estimated future value of about ₹11.6 lakh. Small changes in the rate or duration make a large difference — try altering the inputs above.
Important notes
- Results are estimates at a constant assumed return rate.
- Actual mutual fund returns vary with market performance.
- Taxes, expense ratios, and exit loads are not factored in.
Frequently asked questions
What is a SIP?
A Systematic Investment Plan lets you invest a fixed amount regularly, usually monthly, into mutual funds. It helps build a habit of investing over time.
Does the SIP calculator guarantee returns?
No. The result is an estimate based on the return rate you enter. Actual mutual fund returns vary with market performance and are not guaranteed.
Is a higher return rate always better in the estimate?
Entering a higher rate simply shows a higher estimate. Always use a realistic, long-term assumption for planning.
