Estimate assuming annual contributions at the start of each year. PPF rules and rates are governed by the Government of India and can change.
How it is calculated
FV = P × [((1 + r)^n − 1) / r] × (1 + r)
P is the annual contribution, r is the annual rate, and n is the number of years. This assumes contributions are made at the start of each year and compounded annually.
Example
Investing ₹1,50,000 every year for 15 years at an assumed 7.1% annual rate gives a total investment of ₹22,50,000 and an estimated maturity value of roughly ₹40.7 lakh.
